For all those who do not know me, my name is April, owner of Well Life Yoga & Health. I’ve been teaching Yoga for over 3 years now and practicing for almost 8 years. I want to tell you more about why I started the business and why I'm here to serve YOU.
It is my intention and vision to create a community so that YOU can enjoy the movement, mindfulness and awareness that comes with Yoga, Strength Training and a Healthy Diet (Nutrition). These are all important aspects to feeling your best.
As such I want to offer many avenues for you to enjoy these tools. Not solely the Asana (physical) practice of Yoga but also the other 8 limbs. This includes Meditation (Dhyana), the Yamas and the Niyamas which consist of guidelines to live your life more authentically inwardly and outwardly and more to help you thrive and create your life how you want it to be.
Of course as a Community Member of Well Life Yoga & Health I want you to feel as though you can take what you need on your journey right here and right now.
There’s no need to try to do it all at once! You can start by working on your Physical Self or you can dive more into Meditation. The most important part will be consistency to make this new lifestyle a Habit. I personally started with Meditation within the 8 limbs and simply walking outdoors. It helped my mindset to know what I needed and what I deserved out of life.
How I got here
All this information came to me gradually while I discovered the benefits of asana alone and then realized I wanted to know more. I loved the after effect not only physically but mentally on my body including my mind.
It led me to want to share Yoga. When I kept inviting person after person I knew (with resistance) I decided I needed to step forward and teach in order to share it with people. So here I am. Through a journey of receiving my personal training certificate to start teaching, to becoming an assistant CrossFit coach (a story for another time) to finally becoming a Yoga teacher.
This all happened even though I had no history of loving exercise, was overweight, depressed and anxious everyday. It happened because I knew I needed a Change.
If this sounds like you, please know that you’re not alone. Sometimes you know “something has got to give”. Then you take that baby step or giant leap forward and you start giving back to you. Who you were before life, health problems or stress got you down. Who you are meant to be!

With that being said I will have a couple online offerings coming SOON for you to make the transitions you need in your life to become the person you always wanted to be. To be that version of yourself that is happy, thriving and living a life you love.
I want this to be a time where you discover how important it is to be aware of your body, to be strong enough mentally and physically so you can handle what life throws at you and to be flexible enough to maneuver into your greatest self.
